A follower to the brilliant of the clicker games genre, Clicker Heroes 2 is the game you can enter as something secondary to your number one game or any other sort of your primary pastime. Download Clicker Heroes 2 in its Steam early access version to begin the never-ending clicking adventure.
It’s not easy to discuss graphics of the game which is available only through Steam early access, but there’s no doubt about the general improvement of the look of the game compared to its predecessor. Everything is in its right place here — the harmony of colors and textures is a crucial factor in causing your addiction to the game. Every new world is meticulously designed to add to the diversity of the game where nothing happens apart from clicking.
As the name of the game says, it’s about clicking. The character moves from the lower left corner of your screen to the upper right where new monsters wait for the numerous clicks you produce to kill them and gain some gold for upgrades to the character’s gear. Gear upgrades appear in groups of four at the bottom of the screen. There’s also a hot bar that indicates your special power level, which you can spend on causing more damage. Sometimes you learn new spells you can use on monsters instead of fighting them with your sword. Currently, the progress of the game is not fast, sometimes you get stuck with the same kinds of monsters and get a minimal reward.
There’s also a possibility of building a bot that can gain progress when you’re not in the game. You can customize its functions and fighting strategy to fit yours. The creators are still working on the Automator function so that it may be glitchy at the moment.
The game goes smoothly, which is an excellent achievement for the early version. Every click gets right where you aim it. Controls are responsive, and there are very few bugs concerning them. The menus look beautiful and add to the general fairytale atmosphere of the game. It probably is the only thing that has to be transferred to the final version of Clicker Heroes 2 untouched. It’s a clicker game, so you get to control it with a mouse and nothing else, so there won’t be any learning difficulties.
Replay Value 4/5
As long as the whole game is a loop, the replay value is quite high. Besides, a lot of things in the gameplay depend on the gear you choose, so the replay might be essential when you got to know all the gear possibilities and have developed a suitable strategy. Even when the game ends (does it ever end?) you can begin a new round to restart your clicking meditation.
Some players find Clicker Heroes series boring and get tired of the one big loop those games represent. And we don’t blame them. Still, we hope that’s not the impression you get from our Clicker Heroes 2 review. This is a top clicker game with beautiful graphics, smooth configurations and a lot of fun monsters and gear to choose from, and there’s even more on the way. Loops can be fun too!
Download Clicker Heroes 2, while there is a free, stable version to learn if you’re into all these clicks.
